TIPS & FAQs

  • Renting from us is easy. Everything can be done online.

Just select your gear (tubes, cooler carriers, inflators, life jackets, etc.) and reserve it, with pickup and return times, on the website.

You'll receive a confirmation email with pickup location & instructions.

The tubes will be deflated when you pick them up, to allow for easy transport.

Once you reach the river, you can inflate the tubes with our inflator or your own. (Instructions will be provided.)

Once you’re done, simply deflate the tubes and return them on the last day of your rental.

Enjoy your time on the water!

  • Tubes can be picked up & returned in north Fort Wayne. You'll receive the address in your confirmation email after you checkout.

  • We're happy to provide tubes for your own DIY trip, but we DO NOT provide drop-off or pick-up service.

But — because our tubes are provided deflated, it's easy to do it yourself.

You just need TWO vehicles and drivers. Just meet at your ending spot, and park one of your vehicles.

Then ride together to your starting point with the tubes. Inflate the tubes and off you go.

When you reach your takeout spot, your vehicle will be waiting for you.

  • While some sections of Cedar Creek have lots of obstacles, other sections are often great for tubing.

We do NOT recommend using float tubes on the portion of Cedar Creek UPSTREAM (to the north & west) of Tonkel Road. This section often has many obstacles, which make tubing challenging.

We DO recommend the sections between Tonkel Road and Hursh Road (roughly a 4-hour float) — and between Hursh Road and SR 1 in Cedarville, at the Cedar Creek public access site (also about 4 hours).

For an extra- long float, you can combine them by starting at Tonkel Road and ending at SR 1 in Cedarville (around 6-8 hours).

  • There are multiple great tubing rivers within a short driving distance of Fort Wayne:

    1. Wabash River (Lagro, IN)

Certain sections of the Wabash River are popular for tubing. Begin your search by looking around Lagro, IN — about 1 hour from Fort Wayne.

    2. White River (Noblesville, IN)

Around 1.75 hours from Fort Wayne, the White River spans more than 25 miles, stretching from Noblesville to Carmel and Fishers, and then to Indianapolis. It's a popular destination for canoeing, kayaking, and tubing. There are multiple river access points allowing for varied trip lengths.

  • Sorry, but no.

Our tubes are designed for a relaxing float down a calm creek or river — not for being towed behind a boat. Damaging or destroying tubes by towing will incur a $50 replacement fee per tube.

  • We get it — things happen.

We realize that scrapes and scuffs are a part of river tubing. If minor damage happens (scrapes, scuffs, pinhole leaks, etc), and it's something we can fix, no worries.

For major damage, like an unrepairable hole or tear — or for the loss of a tube or other gear, there will be a replacement fee per item:

    Tube: $50
Canvas cover (for tube or cooler carrier): $50
    Cooler Carrier (large): $60
    Cooler Carrier (small): $50
    Inflator: $50
    Life jacket: $10
    Tube linking straps: $3
    Carrying duffel: $5

  • Yes, you're welcome to rent the tubes for as long as you'd like. You can select the rental period on the product page.

  • No, for now we just rent river tubes.

We may consider other products in the future. If you'd be interested in other items, please drop us an email to let us know what you'd be interested in: [email protected]

  • Good question.

The water level in Cedar Creek fluctuates often, depending on how much rain we've had recently.

We recommend driving by the creek to visually check the water level before renting. You can do this at the points where Tonkel and Hursh Roads, or SR 1 cross the creek.

You can also check Cedar Creek's  real-time water level on the USGS website.

(Here is more detail about how to read the USGS water level tables.)

If the water is extra-low (1.3 feet or under), you'll encounter shallow spots where you'll need to stand up and walk your tube forward to slightly deeper water. (Just wear water shoes, and it's easy to do.)

The lower the water, the more shallow spots you'll find.

We do NOT recommend floating the creek when the water level is extra high—especially after a heavy rain, or after a prolonged rainy stretch.

When this happens, just wait a few days, and the levels will come down.

  • No — mostly of the property bordering Cedar Creek is privately owned. Please respect property owners' rights and do not trespass on private property. There is plenty to see and explore without leaving the creek.

  • - Wear your life jacket.
    - Drink plenty of liquids and stay hydrated.
    - Do not jump or dive into the river.
    - Do not swing from rope swings.
    - Avoid logs and do not grab hold of limbs.
    - Wear old tennis shoes or water shoes.
    - Use sunscreen.
    - Obey 'No Trespassing' and 'Private Property' signs.
    - Pay attention and watch the river in front of you.
    - Do not take valuables and/or keys on your float trip.

  • Thanks for asking! Let's work together to keep our rivers and creeks clean.

Better yet, let's leave them CLEANER than we found them.

To help this, we provide mesh, water-proof trash bags FREE with any rental. They're small, and clip right onto your tube or cooler carrier.

  • Certainly.

While our tubes are NOT meant for towing behind a boat—they're great for RELAXING at the lake.

They'd love to take a trip to any of the wonderful lakes we have in the area.

  • We understand that sometimes things come up. But to help us plan for the next guests, we do need to charge a fee if items aren't back on time. The late fee is 25% of the rental total.
